Belmont County WIC Progam is outlined

The “WIC” Program is for Women, Infant and Children. WIC is a supplemental program that helps with nutrition and information for your infant, your child and yourself if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

You can be on WIC when you first find out you are pregnant. Learning about good nutrition is very important throughout your whole pregnancy. You can be on WIC for up to one year after you deliver your baby if you are breastfeeding. Children can receive WIV until they are five years old.

WIC is based on income, but you are invited to attend our infant feeding sessions even if you do not qualify financially. You will learn about breastfeeding, the best gift you can give your baby!

You can talk with one of our nurses about your picky eater or how to have a healthier pregnancy. We have some great material you can take home or even borrow from our WIC Library.

There is a wealth of information just behind the WIC door waiting for YOU. If you live in Belmont County and are interested in more information, please call the WIV office at 740-676-2232 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
