Harrison community dinner slated May 21

CADIZ – The Harrison County Community Foundation is hosting a community dinner at 5:30 p.m. May 21 at Wallace Lodge, Sally Buffalo Park.

The community foundation was created by anonymous donors to provide grants to advance charitable projects of benefit to county residents, while serving as a collective resource for those looking to support the county’s current and future opportunities through charitable giving, it was noted.

News of the inaugural grants will be shared during the dinner, and Mike Moore, Gulfport Energy CEO and president, will be the guest speaker.

“As more people learn about HCCF and give to support its work, we will see increased investment in Harrison County through grants and scholarships,” Cara Dingus Brook, Foundation for Appalachian Ohio president and CEO, said.

Managed and supported by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, HCCF is guided by a local advisory committee. This includes Amy Clelland, Lora Milleson, Scott Pendleton, Bob Positano, Matt Puskarich and John Tabacchi.
