Health department announces schedule

STEUBENVILLE – The city health department will offer free and anonymous HIV testing from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday by appointment only.

Anyone interested in the HIV testing should call the health department at (740) 283-6000, extensions 1503, 1504, 1505, 1506, 1507 or 1508 to schedule an appointment.

Blood pressure screening and TB skin testing will be available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Childhood and adult immunization clinics from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the city health department on South Third Street.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child and a record of prior immunizations must be provided before immunizations will be administered. A child’s legal guardian must present the court order documents on the day of service in order for the child to receive the vaccinations.

The Zostavax or shingles shot is now available at the city health department.

The city health department will be closed on May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.
