Barnesville approves roofing plan
BARNESVILLE – Members of the Barnesville Exempted Village School District Board of Education met in regular session Thursday and addressed several personnel matters in addition to moving forward on decisions concerning roofing bids.
Board members unanimously approved awarding a roofing project bid for the high school to Kalkruth Roofing in Wheeling.
After deciding they needed several more details about the condition of the roof at the middle school, they unanimously approved a plan not to move forward on that roofing contract award at this time.
In related matters, board members voted unanimously approving several of Superintendent Randy Lucas recommendations. Including a reduction of one head cook position at the high school.
Board members also voted to approve contracts with the following individuals for the coming school year: Alitza Grear, elementary intervention specialist; Julie Feldner, part-time preschool teacher; Kelsey Lafferre, kindergarden teacher; Colleen Greeg, first grade teacher; Morgan Kelley, part-time at the Middle School physical education and health teacher; and Katie Powell as an interpreter.
The next meeting of the board – a special meeting – will be held Friday, June 27 at 7:30 a.m. at the central office.
