Belmont tax bills mailed

THE Second Half 2013 Real Estate Tax bills were mailed on June 20, according to an announcement by Katherine K, Kelich, Belmont County treasurer. Property owners not receiving their bills by June 30 are asked to contact the treasurer’s office at (740) 699-2145.

The due date for payment is Friday, July 25. A five percent penalty will be added to any current year payments made within the first 10 days after the due date. Thereafter, all unpaid bills will have a 10 percent penalty added to the current year unpaid balance.

Payments may be made in the following manners:

1 – By mail utilizing the self-addressed return envelope;

2 – In person at the treasurer’s office in the courthouse;

3 – At a drop box located on the ground floor of the courthouse and

4 – By credit card – visit www.belmontcountytreasurer.org

A limited number of banks are accepting payments, Call the treasurer’s office for the listing of those institution.
