Two more one-pot meth labs found in Bellaire
BELLAIRE – Two more one-pot meth labs were found along Ohio 149 between Bellaire and Neffs on Thursday. This will make six labs found in three days.
All six meth labs have been found by prison workers who are cleaning up the side of the road.
According to Belmont County Drug Task Force Commander John McFarland, the meth labs have been sent away to the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII) for any evidence of fingerprints or DNA.
The one-pot, or the “shake and bake” method, of making meth involves a bottle of some sort, whether it is a soda or water bottle. Each bottle found is considered to be one meth lab.
“Yet again, I am thankful that no one was hurt when these meth labs were found on the side of the road,” said McFarland. “We are hopeful that BCII will find something on these meth labs so that we can catch whoever is leaving them on the side of the road.”
