Area fireworks shows scheduled


In Martins Ferry, gates will open at the Schools Complex at 5001 Ayers Limestone Road at 5:30 on July 3. Fireworks will begin at dusk. Rain day is July 5. Call the Chamber of Commerce at 633-2565 for more information.

In Barnesville, fireworks will begin at dusk on July 5 at Barnesville Memorial Park, located at 130 Fair Street.

In St. Clairsville, the United States Air Force Band will perform at the Central Park Amphitheater on July 2 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the Eyes of Freedom Iraq War memorial will be on display from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Central Park. A fireworks display will follow at 9:15.


In Cadiz, an all-day celebration will be held at on July 5 at Sally Buffalo Park, Wallace Lodge, beginning at 10 a.m. The festivities will include a golf cart parade, corn hole tournament, flea market, craft show and a DJ, as well as the Beast of the East baseball tournament. Fireworks begin at dusk.

In the Deersville -Tappan Lake area, fireworks will be held at Tappan Lake Park on July 5, beginning at dusk.


In Wheeling, the Wheeling Independence Day Celebration will be held on July 4 starting at 7 p.m. The event will be held at 12th & Water Street. Features will include the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra and fireworks starting at dusk. In case of inclement weather, concerts may be presented in WesBanco Arena (14th & Water Street).


In Woodsfield, Bicentennial Fireworks will begin at on July 3 in Monroe Central Football Stadium.


In Bloomingdale, fireworks will begin on July 4 at 10 p.m. in the community building area.

In Toronto, Gem City Day fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. on July 5 at Clarke Hinkley Stadium (football field).


In Senecaville, fireworks will begin at dusk on July 5 at Seneca Lake Park.

In Cambridge, fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. on July 4 in the Cambridge City Park.

Also in Cambridge, fireworks will begin at dusk on July 5 at Spring Valley Campground.


In Caldwell, fireworks will begin at dusk on July 4 at the Noble County Fairgrounds.
