Barnesville Education Foundation awards $42K in scholarships
THE BARNESVILLE Area Education Foundation announces that it has distributed $42,250 to colleges and universities in scholarships for the first semester of this school year.
There were 13 winners of the Michael and Jane Zunick Award, which grants $4,000 per year per student, for four years. These students are attending the following schools: Ashley Gordon, Miami University; Hunter Yevincy, Case Western University; Travis Jenkins, Daniel Eaton, Amy Wahl, and Summer Gallentine, The Ohio State University; Ashley Campbell, Ohio University Eastern; Juliana Madzia, University of Cincinnati; Sarah Sheppard, Ohio Wesleyan University; Adam Stupak, Marietta College; Chainey Boroski, Yale University; Zane Thornburg, College of Wooster; and Colt Charlton, Bethany College.
Annika Wildes is attending Ohio University Eastern, and is the winner of the Hootman Scholarship Award, which provides $1,500 per year for four years.
Marrissa Burga is also attending Ohio University Eastern, and is the winner of the VanDyne Scholarship Award, which provides $1,000 per year for four years.
Nathaniel Wehr is the recipient of the Academic Excellence Scholarship Award, a major scholarship. He is attending Oberlin College.
All of these scholarships are made available through the Barnesville Area Education Foundation through on-going endowments, and are presented each year.
