Bellaire arson suspect arrested
BELLAIRE POLICE arrested a 22-year-old man Monday for his alleged involvement in a Saturday morning fire.
Bryce Andrew Parrill is charged with felony arson for his involvement in the fire at 4217 Trumbull St., which started early Saturday and took nearly five hours to extinguish.
He was booked into the Belmont County Jail late Monday on $5,000 bond.
The Bellaire Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the OR&W, Spirit of 76 and Martins Ferry fire departments battled the blaze shortly after midnight Saturday. Assistance was also provided by the Salvation Army Canteen, with crews from all departments remaining on scene until about 5 a.m. The home was abandoned and was a complete loss.
The fire rekindled just after noon Saturday, with crews returning to extinguish the hot spots.
