Electronics collection planned Sept. 9 at two venues
THE JB Green Team will hold a Special Electronics Collection on Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the the Martins Ferry City Garage, 501 N. First St., Martins Ferry.
Another location will be behind the Jefferson County Services Complex (Water Dept. building), 598 Ohio 43, Wintersville (at the left side of the building in back).
The collection will be for residents of Belmont and Jefferson counties only. Proof of residency will be required. Electronics will be accepted for recycling, free of charge. A $15 cash only disposal fee will be required for each CRT (tube) TV, older (box style) monitor and Big Screen TV.
Acceptable items include computers, servers, flat screen monitors, laptops and batteries, switches/routers/hub, cell phones and batteries, telephones, chargers for phones, power supplies, test equipment; LCD screens, UPS backup batteries, headphones/speakers, keyboards, mice,docking station, video game consoles, accessories, hard drives for shredding, CD/floppy drives, fax/copier /printer/laser jet, ink cartridges, VCR/AV equipment, radio/stereos, circuit boards and LCD/LED flat screen televisions and monitors.
Almost anything to do with computers or electroncs will be accepted. However, if you are not sure of an item, give one of our offices a call at (740) 266-6899 inJefferson County or 740) 296-5376 in Belmont County.
Items which will not be accepted include houehold/kitchen appliances such as microwaves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, blenders, toasters, specialty cookers, humidifiers, fans, vacuum cleaners, lamps, smoke detecors, air conditionerss, ACUs,etc, or Projection screens.
