Man gets life for roadside killing near Somerton
SOMERTON — Harold Johnson will spend at least 20 years behind bars for the fatal roadside shooting of Clint Stephens.
Johnson pleaded guilty last week to shooting Stephens as he sat in his car along Ohio 800. The two men had met near Somerton, and Johnson reportedly exited his vehicle and shot Stephens multiple times. Johnson entered the plea just as he was about to go to trial for the crime.
He was sentenced this morning to life in prison, but he is eligible for parole after serving 20 years. For more details, see Tuesday’s edition of The Times Leader.
