I-70 East In Belmont County Closed Due To Accident That Leaves Livestock Animals Hurt

Interstate 70 eastbound in Belmont County remains closed beyond exit 215 because of an accident involving two tractor-trailers and a car that took place this morning. Officials said there were no injuries to humans, but one of the trucks carried pigs. The accident, which occurred near the Ohio 9 interchange on I-70, remains under investigation as cleanup continues. The eastbound highway lanes reopen at the 218 interchange, near the Ohio Valley Mall.
