LUCAS, Luvada, 94, of Shadyside, OH, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Shadyside Care Center in Shadyside, OH.
She was born May 23, 1918 in Armstrongs Mills, OH, a daughter of the late John Thomas and Emma Mae Coffman Sindeldecker.
Luvada was a retired sales clerk for the former LS Goods Department Store in Wheeling, West Virginia and a member of the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Scott and two sisters, Olive and Opal.
Surviving are her husband of 75 years, Earl E. Lucas, who she married on November 28, 1936; her son, Thomas (Margie) Lucas of Powhatan Point, OH; her daughter, Sandra (William) Kinney of Shadyside, OH and her sister, Mary Virginia Kocher of Canton, OH. Also five grandchildren, Lynn (Gale) Huffman, Mark (Lori) Lucas, Eric (Tammy) Lucas, Thomas (April) Kinney and Michael (Hollie) Kinney and 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grand children.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauk necht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randy Weaver officiating. Interment in the Armstrongs Mills Cemetery in Arm strongs Mills, OH.
