CAIN, Rex (N8XKM), age 86, of Moundsville, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville.

He was born August 20, 1926 near Littleton, WV, son of the late Austin Thomas and Leo Williams Cain.

Rex was a retired electrician from IBEW 141 with 57 years of service, longtime elder, treasurer and member of the choir at the Limestone Presbyterian Church, U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War, a member of the Earl Francis Post 3 American Legion and volunteered for various veterans organizations, member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department, the American Amateur Radio League and Marshall County Office of Emergency Services.

He enjoyed amateur radio, camping, square dancing, bunco, being with and taking care of family and friends and drove to 49 of the states and flew to Hawaii.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Maxine J. Cain, and one sister, Evelyn Cain.

Survivors include three sons; Tom (Carole) Cain of St. Clairsville, Dave and Brent Cain both of Glen Dale; two sisters; Georgia Helen Cross of New Freeport, PA and Sally Lou Carter of Ravenswood, WV; six grandchildren; Alan, Brian, Melissa, John, Christina, Breanna and Brandon Cain and five great-grandchildren; Justin, Korbin, Camden, Rilynn and Brittany Cain.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Limestone Presbyterian Church, Rt. 250, Moundsville at 11 a.m. with Rev. Larry Kline officiating followed by military services with the Moundsville Honor Guard.
