PIELECH, Gary Lee, of Tiltonsville, died Sunday in the home.

He was born January 23, 1949, to parents, Joseph Edward and Violet Lillian (Minnozzi) of Yorkville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary worked 41 years for the former Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel and retiring in March from the former RG Steel in Yorkville.

He loved to fish and golf and vacation in Las Vegas, where he was married and renewed his vows. His two cats Hollywood and Vegas kept him happy in his retirement. He really appreciated all of his porch friends that came by daily.

Gary is survived by his wife of 14 years, Kimmi (Closser) and two sons, Jason of Shell Beach, California and Jeremy (Ashley) of Bellaire. He also has four brothers, Joe (Shirley) of Rayland, Jeff of Yorkville, Dwayne (Leslie) of Shadyside and Jon (Anji) of Yorkville. He has one grandson, Dylan.

Funeral arrangements will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers or memorial contributions, there is a benefit planned for this Saturday, November 3 at the Indian Club in Tiltonsville from noon until midnight. The public is invited to attend as tickets are $10 per person, which includes a spaghetti dinner. There will be many prizes and raffles and the day will culminate with music by the local band JFK. All money raised will go towards deferring Gary’s many medical bills and expenses.
