DOLFI, Grace Christinia Del Vecchio, 90, of Rayland, OH., died November 17, 2012, at Peterson Rehab Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
She was born June 30, 1922, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Carmella Varanese Del Vecchio.
She was a devoted mother, and grandmother who had many talents and gifts including, knitting for family and friends. She was proud of her Italian Heritage and was an avid golfer until the age of 80. She golfed in the Mazeroski Women’s Golf Club and the OWGA, where she won many trophies including a hole in one.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dolfi; five brothers, Anthony, Dr. J.J., Benjamin, Settemio and William; five sisters, Mary Burns, Ann, Tomasine Serafini and infants, Tomasine and Carmela Jean and son-in-law, Kent Stewart.
Surviving are a brother, Marion (Bud) of Nokomis, FL, daughters, Renee Stewart of Tiltonsville, Linda (Dr. Edward) Wnek of Cincinnatti, OH, sons, Martin (Sue) of Portage, MI, and James (Linda) of Upper Arlington, OH; grandchildren, Mary Anne Burwell of Wheeling, WV, Kent (Re) Stewart of Pomeroy, OH, Kara Stewart of Tiltonsville, OH, Martin Dolfi of New York, NY, Meghan (Pedro) Arreaza of Kalamazoo, MI, Lauren (Gary) Higginson of Portage, MI, Sara Dolfi of Kalamazoo, MI, Matthew Dolfi of Portage, MI, Nathan Wnek of Chicago, IL, Anna Wnek of Cincinnati, OH, Gabriele Dolfi of Venice, CA and FGelicia Dolfi of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren, George, Mary Ashley and Emily Grace Burwell of Wheeling, WV and Daemon Stewart of Pomeroy, OH and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Grace and celebrate her life on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday from the Funeral Home with Monsignor Gene Mullett officiating.
Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Oh.
