WAKULCHIK, David, 79, (February 14, 1933) went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 3.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna (Frensko) and David Wakulchik, Sr., his brothers John of Bridgeport and Stephen of Shadyside; his sisters, Olga (Wakulchik) Toth of Tiltonsville and Mary (Wakulchik) Skatula of Glen Robbins.

He is survived by his sisters Helen of Glen Robbins and Anne (Wakulchik) Nemeti of Tiltonsville and his brother, Alfred and wife Fran of Yorkville as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.

David served our country as a member of the U.S. Air force and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Sportsman Club and the V.F.W. Post #4811 in Yorkville. He attended Kent State University. David enjoyed his prized vegetable garden, hunting, and berry picking. He was an avid reader and was well-versed in a variety of topics including World War II, politics and sports.

A private memorial service will be held with family members only. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the Glen Robbins Presbyterian Church, c/o 261 County Rd. #2, Rayland, OH 43943. The family would like to thank the staff of Liza’s Place for providing such a level of hospice care and comfort to David.
