CARPENTER, Gene A., 77, Barnesville, OH, passed from the loving arms of his wife into the arms of our Heavenly Father January 15, 2013 at his home.

He was born June 26, 1935 to the late Lester Carpenter and Mary Evelyn Shipman Carpenter Barton. In additon to his parents, he was preceded by a daughter, Peggy McMillen and an infant son, David.

Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara Stottler Carpenter; sons, Benjamin (Jean) Carpenter and Jon (Susie) Carpenter both of Kipling, OH; daughter, Heidi (Randy) Fisher of Barnesville; grandchildren, Morgan and Adam Carpenter, Oakley Von Carpenter, Logan Fisher, Ivy and Sage Fader, Violet and Autumn Fisher, Jon and Susie are expecting in May, Shane (Chenae) Carpenter and Kayla Carpenter; great grandsons, Laythe and Peyton; and sisters and brother, Carol Smith of Indiana, Betty Carpenter of Quaker City, Sandy (Mike) Manglitz of Wisconsin and Jimmy (Debbie) Carpenter of Indiana.

Gene was retired from the maintenance department of Barnesville Hospital and was a member of Central Christian Church, Quaker City.

Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St, Barnesville, OH where services will be held 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial follows in Stottler Family Cemetery.
