PUSKARICH, Mary Virginia Barger Rogers

PUSKARICH, Mary Virginia Barger Rogers, age 90 of Piedmont, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 15, 1922 in Moorefield Township. Mary was the daughter of the late William Isaac Barger and Cecil May Fulton Barger.

She was a homemaker devoted to her family and was a friend to many. She was a member of the Rankin United Methodist Church which she attended her entire life. She thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Rogers’ Orchestra for many years, playing the piano at square dances throughout the area. Mary and Frank loved to travel and felt very blessed to have visited many sites throughout North America.

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband of 10 years, Willard Rogers who died October 8, 1948, and her second husband of 55 years, Frank Puskarich, Jr. who died March 3, 2009. Frank and Mary were married September 11, 1953. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jay Rogers; two daughters- in-law, Carol Rogers and Mary Lou Rogers; two sisters: Nellie Rogers and Alta Barrett; and a brother, Ralph Barger.

Surviving are three sons: Kenny (Carol) Rogers of Scio, Bruce (Laura) Rogers of Holloway, and Nick (Carolyn) Puskarich of Piedmont; a daughter: Lori (Rich) Milleson of Piedmont; 15 grandchildren: Beth (Todd) Francis, Julie (Matt) Nameth, Ryan (Terra) Rogers, Renee (Sam) Krantz, Lori (Michael) Kuziak, Shane (Lori) Statler, Amy (Jim) Macy, Chris (Heather) Rogers, Carrie Rogers, Amanda Coey, Autumn Coey, Clint (Kelly) Puskarich, Aaron Puskarich, Megan (Anthony) Hayes and Dan Milleson; 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Dunlap of Cadiz, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by many friends and loved ones.

Friends will be received at Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport on Friday, March 15 from 2 to 4-6 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at Rankin United Methodist Church, near Cadiz with Pastor Charles Mehl officiating. Burial will follow in the Rankin Church Cemetery.
