WOOTCHIE, Robert J. “Dokie,” W. Main St., Adena, Ohio died peacefully at his home Friday, April, 12, 2013.
He was born December 19, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, son of the late Stanley Sr. and Katherine Marie Lippian Wootchie.
He was a retired railroad worker; worked for the former Adena Electric Co.; and was a Catholic by faith.
Dokie was a gentle soul and kind spirit. H was a hard worker who enjoyed yard work and working with flowers, painting, and going polka dancing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and John Wootchie; special friend, Joe Borkoski; and his beloved dog, Rusty.
Surviving are a brother, Richard Wootchie of Adena; two sisters, Katherine Lews of Ashtabula, Ohio, Judith Ann (Daniel) Evans of Powell, Ohio; niece, Lori (Kenyon) Boncela of Cleveland; two great-nephews; and special people in his life Brandon and Jonathon Borkoski and Martha.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Dokie and celebrate his life Sunday, 1-6 p.m at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating.
Burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
