DUCCI, John, 95, of Moundsville, West Virginia formerly of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.

He was born January 30, 1918 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Santo and Maria Paoletti Ducci.

John was the owner and operator of the Ducci Barber Shop in Powhatan Point, Ohio. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Moundsville, West Virginia, former member of the Moundsville City Recreation Committee, the Eagles, VFW and American Legion. John was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha L. Schaffer Ducci in 1975 and his second wife, Catherine L. Reilly Freeman Ducci in 2010; two daughters, Pamela Susac and Diane Kish; one brother, Alesandro Ducci; and one sister, Louise Laquaglia.

Surviving are three stepchildren, Charles (Joyce) Freeman of Orange Park, Florida, Barbara Campanizzi and Cynthia Gunto both of Moundsville, West Virginia; two sisters, Sandina Leonard of Powhatan Point, Ohio and Christine (John) Mazelon of Wheeling, West Virginia. Also eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, Ohio on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m.

Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Moundsville, West Virginia with Fr. Ranjan P. Ekka, T.O.R. as Celebrant.

Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio with Full Military Honors conducted by the Powhatan Point Honor Guard.
