HUMPHREY, William R. “Bill,” 86, of Holloway, Ohio, died at his home Saturday, June 8, 2013.
He was born December 10, 1926 in Flushing, Ohio, son of the late Walter and Stella Humphrey.
Bill was a retired electrician. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and playing baseball. Bill proudly served his country as a Marine, during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Humphrey.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Betty (Carl) Tucker of Holloway, Ohio and Penny Webb of St. Clairsville, Ohio; sons, Tim Humphrey of Lafferty, Ohio and Bill (Debbie) Humphrey of California; 12 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Babe) Humphrey of Pickway, Ohio; special nephew, Dr. Michael Humphrey; and special friend, Dora Jean Adkins of Bethesda, Ohio.
Visitation for Bill will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda, Ohio, where the service will be conducted, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Bob Merritt will be officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing, Ohio.
Military Honors will be conducted Wednesday at the cemetery.
