COLEMAN, Harry P., Jr., 94, of Martins Ferry, OH died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling, WV.

He was born May 15, 1919 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Harry P. Sr. and Marion (Rentsch) Coleman.

Harry graduated from the Wheeling College of Commence. He was retired from ERB Electric, Wheeling, WV and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry. Harry was an avid bridge player, bowler, golfer and gardener. He enjoyed writing letters to the editor. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WW II where he served as a Sergeant in the 1647th Engineer Utility Department in the Europe Theater.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee (Shepherd) Coleman; two sisters, Betty Reasbeck and Marjorie Williams.

Surviving are a daughter, Debra (Richard) McGee; a son, Harry P. (Judith) Coleman all of Martins Ferry; two sisters, Carol Holmes and Marion Finney both of Martins Ferry; two grandchildren, Megan (Adam) Wimmers of Plain City, OH and Erin Priest of Dublin, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Monday, July 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 40 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH with Pastor Philip K. Van Dam officiating.

Military honors will be presented Monday at 12:45 p.m. in the church by VFW Belmont County Honor Guard.
