HOMAN, Emma A., 95, of Shadyside, Ohio died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Shadyside Care Center in Shadyside, Ohio.
She was born July 30, 1918 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Richard and Lola McMillen Heslop.
Emma was a home maker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Shadyside, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett L. “Jim” Homan on September 16, 1961; her daughter, Nancy K. Barnes on April 9, 2002; two sisters, Martha Duvall and Lola Johnson and two brothers, Richard and John Heslop.
Surviving are her two grandchildren, Jeremy W. (Joan) Barnes of Loveland, Ohio and Patricia (Robert) Clark of Sevierville, Tennessee; five great- grandchildren, Julia and Katherine Barnes and Ryan, Kylie and Lyndsi Clark and several nieces and nephews. Also her son in-law, Robert (Sarah) Barnes of Neffs, Ohio.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Roberts officiating.
Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
