SAMPSON, Joseph Nolan “Joey”
SAMPSON, Joseph Nolan “Joey,” formerly of Shadyside, OH, left us unexpectedly on Sunday, September 8, 2013.
He was born January 10, 1959 in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late Mike and Katie Sampson.
Joey was a mechanic by trade, a friend to all and deeply loved by his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Melissa Sampson of Peabody, Massachusetts.
Surviving are his brothers, Ernest C. (Carol) Sampson, Jr. of Saugus, Massachusetts and Gary A. (Jodi) Sampson of Peabody, Massachusetts and his sister, Mary Kathryn (Gary) Jenkins of Salem, Massachusetts. Also his nephews, Michael, Christopher, Nicholas, Matthew, Stephen, Michael and Ryan all of Massachusetts, cousins, Penny S. (Tim) Swiger, Josh and Stevie Carpenter and special friend, Brittany Lewis.
A memorial gathering of family and friends to celebrate the memory of Joey will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David M. Demarest officiating at the American Legion post 521 in Shadyside, Ohio.
Inurnment in the Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio will be held at the convenience of the family.
