FLOWERS, Dorothy, 79, of Adena, OH, died Friday, November 1, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital, in Wheeling, WV.
Dorothy was born on April 27, 1934 in Piney Fork, Ohio to the late Frank and Minnie (Fisher) Beuth.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William Flowers; a brother, Alfred Beuth; a grandson, Christopher Carlier; and a son-in-law, William Applegarth.
Dorothy was a wonderful mother, loved to cook for the entire family and loved to make quilts in her spare time. Dorothy was also a member of the Harrisville Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Charlene (David) Miller of St. Clairsville, OH, Cheryl (Gary) Ludwig of Greenfield, OH Lori Applegarth of New Athens, OH and Karen (John) Carlier of Colerain, OH; a brother, William (Judith) Beuth of Wadsworth, OH; a sister, Gertrude Wasko of St. Clairsville, OH; 11 grandchildren, Emily Carlier, Angelina Carlier, Jonathan Carlier, Allison Miller, Matthew Ludwig, Elisa (Kenny) Friedman, Rebecca (Geno) Agostini, Jenna Applegarth, Kelley Applegarth, BJ (Lisa) Applegarth and Crista Applegarth; great – grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews; and her pet cat, Samantha, who was always by her side.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Dorothy and celebrate her life on Sunday, November 3rd from 2-9 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena Ohio.
Family and friends will also be received on Monday at 10 a.m. until service time of 11 a.m. from the Harrisville Covenant Presbyterian Church with Pastor Barry Hall officiating.
Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.
