HANLIN, William Edward “Eddie”
HANLIN, William Edward “Eddie,” of Bridgeport, died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 20, 1965 in Glen Dale West Virginia, a son of Mary (Criss) Hanlin of Bridgeport and the late Charles Emerson Hanlin Sr.
He was a superintendant for Lash Paving Co. Colerain, and a member of the First Christian Church Martins Ferry. Eddie was an avid NASCAR fan, and alumni of Bridgeport High School class of 1983.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Melissa “Missy”(Crawford) Hanlin; a son, Edward Zacharia “Zach” Hanlin of home; a brother, Charles E. (Nancy) Hanlin Jr. of Ark.; sisters, Catherine L. (Jim) Chisholm of Kansas, Grace E. “Betty” Stephens and her husband Will of IIllinois, who was more like a brother and father to Ed, Mary I. (Dave) Fedor of Bellaire, Anna M. (Gary) Parrish of Shadyside, Susannah Hanlin of Ga., and Dianna L. (Ray) Sockman of Bridgeport; his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Sally Crawford of Mt. Pleasant; a special Aunt Amanda Webb, several nieces and nephews; and his Best Buddy “DuPont.”
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 56381 National Road, Brookside, with Minister Rod Kasler, and Pastor Karen Torrez officiating.
Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
