NOSAL, Theodore “Ted”
NOSAL, Theodore “Ted”, passed away on November 2, 2013 at his home in Warren, Michigan. He was 84 years old.
Ted Nosal was born in Stewartsville, Ohio on May 3, 1929 to John and Veronica (Tomasik). He graduated from Bellaire High School in June 1947 and enlisted in the Air Force in 1948. Ted met first wife, Christine (Sensing) and married on June 7, 1952 near Ft. Campbell, Tennessee. During their first year of marriage, Christine fell ill and passed away. He moved to Detroit in September of 1953. In 1955, Ted met Katherine Bedenko and they married June 1956 in Hazel Park, MI and settled into their current home in Warren, raised five children and enjoyed 12 grandchildren over 51 years of marriage. Ted was employed with General Motors in Detroit from 1953 -1995 as a Tool and Die Journeyman and served as Plant Chairman of UAW Local 157.
Ted was preceded in death by parents, John and Veronica, first wife, Christine (1953); second wife, Katherine (2007); oldest son, Theodore Francis Nosal (2007) and many family and friends. Ted is survived by; brother, Jerome (Marjorie) Nosal; children: Mary Ann (Wael) Dokho, daughter-in-law, Susan; David, Christopher, Frank (Pam) and 12 grandchildren he loved dearly. A Memorial service was held at St. Marks Church in Warren, MI on Saturday, November 9.
