ATKINSON, Maude A., 85, of Powhatan Point, OH, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at her home.

She was born August 6, 1928, in Powhatan Point, OH, a daughter of the late Russell B. and Adda W. Kanzigg Ramsay.

Maude was a meat cutter for the former M & K Food Market and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Powhatan Point, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip W. “Frog” Atkinson on November 13, 1976, four brothers, Vernon, Calvin, Dale and George Ramsay; and one sister, Betty Armann.

Surviving are her son, Rusty (Kristina) Atkinson of Woodsfield, OH; two stepsons, William Atkinson of Akron, OH and Mike (Cozy) Richards of Cayhoga Falls, OH; one sister, Mildred “Boots” Snedeker of Glen Dale, WV and one brother, Glen “Buck” Ramsay of Wadsworth, OH. Also three grandsons, Ryan (Ann) Atkinson of Bethlehem, WV, Adam Atkinson of Powhatan Point, OH and Noah Atkinson of St. Clairsville, OH, two great -grandchildren, Zane and Jordan and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, OH, on Friday from 1-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Powhatan Point, OH, with Rev. Greg Stone officiating. Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, OH.
