FANKHAUSER, Gladys M., 79, of Dublin, Ohio, formerly of Bellaire, Ohio, passed Saturday January 25, 2014.

She was born March 15, 1934 in Captina, West Virginia a daughter of the late Louis and Regina Gall of Powhatan Point, Ohio.

Gladys was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and active volunteer for the Dublin Senior Center of which she enjoyed her euchre friends, Eastern Star and former member of the Bellaire United Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Melvin A. Fankhauser in 2013; and a Sister, Katie I. Brown in 1994.

Surviving are her two sons, Allen (Andrea) of Columbus and Carl (David) of Cincinnati; a grandson, Collin of Columbus; many nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors of Bellaire and Dublin, Ohio.

Her joy was found in family, friends, children and a good walk on the beach.

Family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Rutherford Funeral Home in Powell, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Rd/St. Rt. 750/ 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy) Powell, Ohio 43065.

Additional visitation will be 11 a.m. -1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, Powhatan Point, Ohio followed by a memorial at 1 p.m. Burial at Powhatan Cemetery.
