FOSTER, Earl W., 88, of Warnock, OH, died January 30, 2014, in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born in Centerville, OH on February 22, 1925, son of the late Frederick and Edna Stonebreaker Foster.

Earl was a retired co-owner and operator of Foster’s Store & Service Station in Warnock with his wife, Wanda for 32 years. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served as a combat soldier in the Pacific Theater. He was a graduate of Smith Township High School in Centerville; a former employee of Efaw’s Electric in St. Clairsville and Stone breaker’s Garage in Centerville; a member of Glencoe Senior Center and lifelong member of the Belmont American Legion Post.

His dedication to Warnock Cemetery is unmatched serving as a volunteer trustee, sexton and treasurer for over 40 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Psait Foster; a sister, Verna Foster Pidgeon and a special aunt, Lena Foster.

He is survived by two children, Marsha (David) Borovich of Bethesda and Brian (Franny) Foster of Warnock; two granddaughters Danielle and Bethany Foster; his long time buddy, Betty Thornton and her special family; a brother, Carl (Marjorie) Foster; brother-in-law, Jack Pidgeon; sister-in-law, Betty Fulton; niece, Gayle Watts; nephews, Gary (Ruth) Pidgeon, Steven Foster, Tim Foster, and Joe (Carrie) Foster; special caretaker and friend, Bonnie Borovich; and many friends with fond memories of Foster’s Store.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, OH on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where Services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of American Legions on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
