THOMAS, Terry, 67, of County Rd. 16, Rayland, OH, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 25, 1946, in Mt. Pleasant, OH, son of the late Steve and Irene Leasure Thomas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Ann Best; and two brothers, James Michael and Tom Thomas.
He was a retired employee of the Wheeling – Lake Erie Railroad as a machine operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a 4-H advisor, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and Nascar racing.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Karen Klan Thomas; a son, Ricky Terry (Rachel) Thomas of Brilliant, OH; three daughters, Tracy Thomas of Bridgeport, OH, Stana Thomas of Martins Ferry, OH, Marcie Jarman of Rayland, OH; a brother Steve Thomas of Dillonvale, OH; two sisters, Georgette Terry of Mt. Pleasant, OH, Donna Newton of Emerson, OH; and grandchildren, Courtney and Rachel Jarman, Kayla and Carly Best, Alysha and Jake Thomas, Rikki, Terry, Tyler and Ginna Thomas, Deandra Powell, Kyres Ray, and Javon Gariel.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Terry, and celebrate his life, Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH. and Friday 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. with Rev. Marvin Schooler officiating.
Burial at Highland Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, OH. Full military honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of the V.F.W. Friday at 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
