HODGSON, Russell E., 68, of Belmont, OH, died February 5, in Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire.

He was born September 24, 1945, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Russell E. Hodgson Sr. and Betty Mae Edgar Hodgson.

Russell was an Ordained Minister and retired owner and operator of a salvage yard and an auto mechanic. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Hodgson; and three sisters, Jane Taylor, Ruth and Susie Hodgson.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Ann Brown Hodgson; five children, Shelley (Zach) Heath of Centerville, Clint (Ilicia) Hodgson of Belmont, Crystal Taylor and Tamara Jarrell both of Logan, and Tonya English of Columbus; a sister, Carol Crow of Hartford, CT; grandchildren, Shania Heath, Brian Hodgson, Anthony Bowen and several other grandchildren; a few great-grandchildren; nephews, Jason (Brittany) Hodgson and Charles Pickens.

Visitation will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 3 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 5 p.m.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of American Legions at 5 p.m.
