FIELDING, Clara Vada Washburn

FIELDING, Clara Vada Washburn, 104, of St. Clairsville, OH died March 10, 2014.

Clara was born December 30, 1909, on a farm in Good Hope, WV to Bruce and Faye Yerkey Washburn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Fielding; a step son, James S. Fielding and his wife, Florence; sons-in- law, James L. McCollough, and Richard Semancik; daughter-in-law, Judith Fielding; four brothers, Clarence, George, Harvey, and Fred; and a sister, Hattie.

Surviving are her son, Robert Fielding, Old Hickory, TN; daughters, Mary R. McCollough and Donna Semancik, St. Clairsville, OH, and Jean (David) Yost, Leonardtown, MD; grandsons, Bruce (Jeanne), James (Joyce), and Scott McCollough, Michael (Kelly) Yost; granddaughters, Donna (Bob) Baumberger, Teresa (Jim) Gould, Shelly (Chris Green) Yost, Melinda (Tom) Dullea., and Linda (James) Beckley;14 great-grandchildren, Jim (Sandra) and Collin McCullough, Jackie (Bob) Hucks, Jeremy (Keisa) and Rebecca Baumberger, Rachel (Sam) Amescua, Eric and John Yost, Claire Dullea, Ryan, Erin and Kylie Green, Ryan and Tyler Deckley;, four great-great grandchildren, Taylor and Bradie Baumberger, Donovan Amescua and Robert Hucks.

She lived a quiet country life taking good care of her family. She loved to cook and sew. In later years, she made china dolls and many outfits of doll clothes for all her family.

We would like to thank the staff of Forest Hill Care Center for the care they gave to her.

Friends and family are invited to attend Clara’s funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Beck- Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, St. Clairsvillle with Pastor Tina Gallaher officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
