MAZGAJ, James Jacob, 56, of Provident Road, St. Clairsville died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born July 25, 1957 a son of Jeanette and the late Jacob Mazgaj.
He was meant to be a farmer which he loved until a farm accident when he was 27.
Jim decided “make the best” of everything he had. He was well known for his private business of sales and service of farm equipment.
Jim was a member of St. Mary’s Church St. Clairsville, a St. Mary’s Central grade school and St. Clairsville, High School graduate, and after his accident received an Associate Degree in Business from Belmont College.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Jeanette are his siblings, Marian (Nick) Toth, Joseph (Margaret) Mazgaj, Jean (Paul) Bjorn, John “Skeeter” (Shola) Mazgaj; and Jeffrey Mazgaj; his nieces and nephews, Ashley and Nick Toth, Brittannney Dagan, Jacob Mazgaj, David Ferrell, Brandon Mazgaj, Mitchell Bjorn, Jay and Jennifer Mazgaj; and great- niece, Bethany Dagan.
At Jim’s request a private funeral mass will be held at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, St. Clairsville with Fr. Michael Gossett the celebrant. Burial will be in Union Cemetery St. Clairsville.
