DONALD GOORMASTIC

Donald L. Goormastic, 72, of Centerville, Ohio, formerly of Barnesville, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Bethany Village Nursing Home.

He was born July 25, 1941 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of Flora E. Weigle and the late Louis J. Goormastic.

He was the proud owner and operator of Don’s Barber Shop, serving the community for many years. Don was very active and volunteered with the Disabled American Veterans.

He was a member of Barnesville VFW, Barnesville American Legion, and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed and looked forward to the Pumpkin Festival. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren and was very proud of them.

In addition to his mother, Flora Goormastic of Ft. Pierre, FL, Don is survived by his children, Tracy Beatty of Brookville, OH, Cindy (Patrick) Ricketts of Centerville, OH, Louis Goormastic (Deena Sells) of Bellefontaine, OH, Mary Ellen Goormastic of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Michael and Riley, and sisters, Donna (Jim) Kocher- Burns of Wheeling, WV and Sue Ellen Pytlak of Boynton, FL.

Family and friends may visit, Monday from 3 to 7 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio.

A funeral mass will be conducted, Tuesday 10 a.m., Assumption Church, 306 W. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Father Dave Cornett officiating.

Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.

VFW Belmont County Honor Guard service will be conducted, Monday 6 p.m., at the funeral home followed by the Knights of Columbus Council 5250 service at 6:30 p.m.
