OLSON, Skip, 76, passed away in DeLand, FL March 26, 2014. He was born May 13, 1937, in Northfield, Minnesota, the son of the late Oliver and Vendela (Kandi) Olson.

Skip is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Cheryl Smith Olson, two sons Brian (Lynette) Olson of Cochranton, PA, and Barry (Shirley) Olson of De Leon Springs, FL. Also surviving are grandchildren Cameron Olson and Riley Olson, sisters Tara (Ed) Parshall and Cookie Dolfi, a brother Ollie Olson and several nieces and nephews.

He graduated form West Liberty High School and West Liberty State College majoring in Journalism.

Skip worked as a sports & news reporter for The Wheeling Intelligencer & Times Leader, owned the Corner Store with antiques & collectables in Cadiz, OH and had collectables at Treasure Island in Steubenville, OH. He was on the board of Sally Buffalo Park in Ohio, was an avid sports fan and loved to read.
