Alicia F. Dudek, 88, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014.

She was born in Adena, Ohio on September 20, 1925, daughter of the late Adam and Eva Krupinski Kowalski.

Alicia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was the owner and operator of Originals by Alicia and retired co-owner and operator of Alstan Coal Company which was named for her and her husband.

She and her husband Stanley were co-founders and operators of Bannock Coal Company which is currently Ohio River Colliers.

She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville. Alicia participated with the Belmont County Agricultural Society by displaying her crafts, jewelry, puzzles, photography, sewing, baked and canned goods in the Belmont County Fair for which she won many ribbons. She was also known for her elegant sense of style and fashion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Michael Dudek; three sisters, Cecilia, Josephine and Mary; and two brothers, Edmund and Mitchell.

Surviving are three daughters, Pamela Michelle Dudek, Kimberly Dudek of the home and Lori Anne Dudek all of St.Clairsville; two sons, Wally G. (Sandy) Zielinski and Joseph A. (Brandi) Dudek all of St. Clairsville; a sister, Pearl Cattane of Maynard; four grandchildren, Monte (Nancy) Zielinski, Christopher Walisiak, Taelor Jan Dudek and Boe Stanley Dudek and two great grandchildren, Brittani and Zoie Zielinski.

Private Funeral Liturgy with Mass was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Gossett the celebrant.

Burial was in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Arrangements were entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
