Dolores A. Fabry, 74, of Batavia, OH., formerly of Shadyside, OH, died Friday, June 6, 2014 at her home.
She was born February 26, 1940 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Sorge Sweeney.
Dolores was retired employee of Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shadyside, Catholic Daughters of America and the Clowning Ministries. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, eating out, traveling and most of all, spending quality time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Fabry in 2011; an infant son, J.J. Fabry; two brothers, Paul “Sonny” Sweeney and Robert “Bob” Sweeney.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Jardinado of Batavia; step children, Natalie (Harold) Bryant of Batavia, Barbara (Steve) Hammond of Woodstock, GA., Marvin (Janet) Fabry of Chattanooga, TN., Michael (Debbie) Fabry of Seviervile, TN; grandchildren, Kayla, Isabella, Ava, Rodney and Stephanie; several other grandchildren; a niece, Diane Hunley; four nephews, Michael Sweeney, David Sweeney, Mark Sweeney and Brian Sweeney.
Friends are invited to attend Dolores’s Funeral Liturgy with Mass on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shadyside with Fr. Samuel R. Saprano and Fr. Daniel Heusel as co- celebrants. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling at the convenience of the family.
