Thomas H. McQuillian Jr., 40, of Shadyside, Ohio, died June 19, 2014 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.

He was born May 17, 1974 in Martin Ferry.

In addition to his wife, Heather, step-daughter Morgan and granddaughter, Elizabeth, Tom is survived by his son, Thomas Clayton McQuillian of Tiltonsville, OH; his parents, Thomas and Debra McQuillian Sr. of Shadyside, with whom he resided; his sister, Hope Lynn Brown of Hammington NJ; his brother, Chad Strope of Martins Ferry; his nephews, Zachariah David Schueler and Correy M. Strope, and his Aunt Donna, of Shadyside, all of whom he dearly loved and who will miss his easy smile in their lives. He is also survived by his first wife, Robin of Tiltonsville, various aunts, uncles, and cousins across the United states.

Tom was preceded in death by his natural mother Mary Kay Forrester/ McQuillian in 1984, and all of his grandparents.

He was employed by John’s Barge Towing of Shippingport, PA as a river boat Captain.

There will be no services.

A memorial of Tom’s Life and Times will be announced at a later date and all of his family and friends are welcome to attend and encouraged to do so.
