Bernard A. Taris, 70, of Bellaire, OH passed away Friday.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home, Bellaire, with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church.
Bernard A. Taris, 70, of Noble Street, Bellaire, OH passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 23, 1944 in Bellaire the son of the late Joseph and Marie Kulchinski Taris.
Bernard was a self employed construction worker having remodeled many homes, IATSE Union Treasurer, a former police officer with Bellaire Police Dept., he had an associate’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on historical restoration, a former employee with the Capitol Music Hall, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a US Army veteran, a member of the American Legion in Bellaire and St. John’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brother and sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Haller Taris; two daughters, Lori (Brian McCarthy) Taris and Lisa Taris (John, Jr. and his daughter, Katlyn) Ryder all of Bellaire; a brother, Michael Taris of Phoenix, AZ; a grandson, John “Trey” Ryder, III; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends.

Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 415 37th St. Bellaire with Fr. Dan Heusel as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
