Phyllis Ann Oberle, 81, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at Heartland Lansing Nursing Home.

She was born August 25, 1932, in Wheeling, a daughter to the late Joseph H. and Catherine (Orzolek) Weing.

She was a member of St. Alphosus Catholic Church in Wheeling, the Salvation Army Golden Agers of South Wheeling, the Thursday Night League at Ukrainian Church, and a past member of Family Services.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine Burger, one brother, William J. Weing, and one sister, Rose Eileen Dawson.

She is survived by one son, Robert M. Oberle and his wife, Ginny of Colerain, OH; two granddaughters, Kristen Ann Oberle and her husband, Marc Seamon of Wheeling, and Katheryn J. Burger of Wooster, OH; one grandson, Joseph R. Oberle and his wife, Amanda of Colerain; and six great-grandchildren, Christopher Seamon, Brighten Seamon, Madison Oberle, Cadence Oberle, Hadley Oberle, and Kaylee Burger.

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wheeling with Rev. Doug Ondeck as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
