John M. Roski, 67, of Adena, Ohio, passed Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at James Cancer Center, Columbus, OH.
He was born September 10, 1949, a son of the late Ben and Jennie “Tootsie” Gretchen Roski.
John was a retired U.S. postal worker; a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a member of Post 7477 Hopedale VFW, Adena American Legion Post 525, Shortcreek Sportsman Club, Adena Fire Company and St. Casimir Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Roski; and special aunt and cousin, Helen and Rosella Saseen.
John is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda Rauscher Roski; a son, Justin (Danielle) Roski of Bridgeport, OH; a daughter, Amy (Shon) Clay of Piedmont, OH; brothers, David “Friday” Roski, Ben “BJ” Roski, both of Adena; mother-in-law, Dorothy Rauscher; special sister-in- law, Cheryl (Frank) Zamski; special nephew, Benji (Randi); and niece, Brooke; grandchildren, Peyton, Jarrett, Sydney Roski, Dalton and Heath Clay; and many other family members, including nieces and nephews that he loved.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 4 p.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Adena, with Msgr. John Kolesar as celebrant. Inurnment will be private at a later date. Military Honors will be held at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Fire Co., or the Adena American Legion.
