Richard Lee “Dick” McLeish, 79, of Belmont, Ohio, formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born April 25, 1938 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Earl Richard McLeish and Viola Thomas McLeish.

Dick was a retired heavy equipment operator, working at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, then later McLeish Excavating, Neighborhood Development and Titus Construction. Dick attended the Bellaire First United Methodist Church and was a member of Unionport Lodge 333 & Ionic Lodge 438 F&AM, Bellaire Chapter 107 RAM, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, and Osiris Temple of the Shrine in Wheeling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy McLeish.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly Sayre McLeish; children, Lynn (Bob) McLeish of Smithfield, Missi (Tracy) Wallace of Akron, Rick McLeish of Akron, Chad (Kathy) McLeish of St. Clairsville, and Andy Jurco of St. Clairsville; a brother, Earl McLeish of Wintersville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Warnock Cemetery with Pastor Phil Bliss officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or the Bellaire First United Methodist Church.
