Steve L. Cook, 59, of Barnesville, Ohio was tragically taken away from his family on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on November 22, 1957 in Barnesville, Ohio to Hubert L. Cook and the late Janet L. (Mallonee) Cook.
Steve was a member of Labor Union Local #134, previously working for R&F Coal Company and R&R Trucking, and was a member of the Barnesville Elks. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan and loved knowing all of their history, but his true passion was his family and the love he shared with them.
Steve is survived by an incredible father, Hubert L. Cook; a loving wife, Linda G. Cook; two fantastic children, Brianna (Matt) Willis and Adam (Taylor Conger) Cook; two amazing grandsons, Cale and Madden Willis; a beautiful granddaughter, Adaleigh Cook; seven step-grandchildren, Caylin, Adam, Coy, and Kason Angel, Brandon, Jacob, Breanna Defibaugh; step-daughters, Sandy (Ron) Defibaugh, Sarah Angel, step-son, Carl Sheller, step son-in-law, Adam Angel III; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Howard (Chris) Minch, Jr., Marianne (Jerry) Vargo, Marie (Tony) Assaro, Tim (Amy) Minch, Dennis Minch, Danny (Gina) Minch, and Randy (Bobbie Jo) Minch; aunt, Jean Mallonee; uncle, Dave (Ginny) Cook; several cousins, nieces and nephews, and will sadly be missed by his dog, Chloe.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Ev. Kim McFarland. An Elks service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 7 p.m.
