TED HUNTSMAN
Ted L. Huntsman, 75, of Barnesville, OH, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was surrounded by his family in a room full of love.
He was born in Barnesville, OH on April 13, 1943 to the late Glenn and Rose Huntsman. He was preceded in death by his grandson Trey Strauss and his brother William Huntsman.
Ted married the love of his life Jackie Warfield Huntsman in 1962 and they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage together. He was a lifetime Christian and a member of the St. Clairsville Church of Christ. Most importantly, he was a beloved husband, father, and Pap. He retired from Alltel after 30 years of service. Ted served in the United States Army and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Ted was more than just an avid outdoorsman. His life revolved around spending time hunting and fishing with his children, grandchildren, and many friends. He cherished making memories while always teaching the lessons of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ted had a passion for woodworking and loved making turkey calls just as much as hunting turkeys. When he wasn’t hunting or at a ballfield cheering on his grandchildren, Ted loved spending time in his log cabin. Ted personally restored the cabin himself and made it a place for telling stories and playing music with family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife Jackie, Ted is survived by his four children Bill (Tamatha) Huntsman, Chadd Huntsman, Jason (Kippi) Huntsman, Jill (Jim) Strauss; and eight grandchildren, Chase and Paige Huntsman, Kennedy and Easton Huntsman, Colten, Drew, Noah and Aylah Strauss; sisters, Barb Tetlow and Nancy Skinner.
Visitation wil be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 3-8 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Ev. Kim McFarland and Brad Schrum officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville where military honors will be given by Belmont County Veteran’s Association.
