Janice L. Wayne, 53, loving mother and sister, passed away Feb. 2, 2019 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Alzheimers.
She was born June 17, 1965, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to the late Martin and Barbara Skedel.
She graduated from Buckeye South High School and the University of Akron. She worked as an X-ray technician for 25 years at Akron City Summa Hospital.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother Jerome Skedel; nephew Mark Skedel and sister-in-law Shelly Wayne. She leaves behind the greatest gift of her life, her sons Randy Wayne and Ryan Wayne; her sisters Barb Skedel, Chris (Fred) Cybulski and Cathy Skedel; brothers Martin (Cheryl) Skedel and David Skedel; sister-in-law Laura (Ralph) Skedel- Spillers; many nieces and nephews. Also special in her heart were Randy Wayne, Gail and Ran Wayne, Les Summers, Grace and Ralph Brown and Wendy and Celine Bedrosian.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses from Great Lakes Hospice, the Arbors at Stow and Heritage Villas for taking care of Janice.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. on Friday Feb. 8, 2019, at Reed Funeral Home, North Canton Chapel, with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Family and friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. on Friday prior to the service. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 9, 2019, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
