Lorriane M. Phillips, 93, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died March 16, 2019 in Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Barnesville, Ohio.
She was born September 24, 1925 in Brigham City, Utah, daughter of the late John C. Musulas and Belva I. Smith Musulas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. “Bob” Phillips whom she was sealed to in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple for time and all eternity. She was also preceded by a grandson, Michael Burgy.
Lorriane was a retired clerk from American General Life Insurance Company and a piano teacher for six decades, who brought the joy and love of music to many homes. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sherrard where she had been the organist for 64 years and the children’s primary pianist for decades. Lorraine was a member of Weyer Chapter #515 Order of Eastern Star where she also served as the organist. One of her favorite things to do in addition to music was traveling.
Surviving are her three children, Sandra Kay (David) Palmiter of Wellsville, New York, Connie Rae (Larry) Burgy of Peachtree City, Georgia and John N. (Patty) Phillips of Jacobsburg; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
Eastern Star Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:45 p.m.
