Mary Florence Tarbet, 100, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Shadyside, OH, died Monday, March 4, 2019, at Braden River Rehabilitation Center, Bradenton.
She was born August 29, 1918, in Bellaire, OH, a daughter of the late Walter Edward and Effie Conaway Jones.
Mary was a retired coordinator for Belmont County Committee on Aging and a member of First United Methodist Church, a charter member of Shadyside High School Alumni Association and Order of Eastern Star Captina Chapter 489.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Tarbet, whom she married October 21, 1944; a son, Robert E. Tarbet; and a sister, Grace Emily Johnson.
Surviving are a son, James (Jan) Tarbet of Lake Zurich, IL; a daughter, Jeanne Teliga of Bradenton; a sister, Marjorie Johns of Rockville, MD; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Monday, March 18, 2019, from 9 a.m. until time of service at noon at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, OH, with Rev. Seth Filburn officiating. Burial will follow in Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH.
Order of Eastern Star Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
