Earl Victor Clossin, 87, of Aurora, passed away peacefully Tuesday, afternoon, April 9, 2019.

Born in Cleveland, OH, July 10, 1931, son of the late Raymond and Ethel (Johns) Clossin.

Earl graduated from East Technical High School and attended Ohio University and Tri-State University. He worked for Iron Age Safety Shoe Company and was owner of a Lehigh Safety Shoe distributorship.

Earl loved to play basketball and walk around Sunny Lake enjoying nature. He and Barbara spent a lot of time on Hilton Head Island at their vacation home.

Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Leickly), married for 65 years; and his brother, Raymond; and sister, Ethel (Feliciano). Dear father of Jennifer (Kai) Swanson, Todd (Paula), and Nancy (Chuck) Deskins; Cherished grandfather of Heather (Alan) Hartley, Ryan (Laura) Venema, Ashlee (Johnny) Rowles, Benjamin (Erin), Alexa, and Joseph Clossin, and Chase Deskins and great-grandpa of Parker, Hudson Venema and Emma, Alex Hartley.

His gentleness, compassion and good nature will also be remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral service Saturday, April 20, in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, OH, where the family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m., until the service at noon. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
